Iams is celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Home 4 the Holidays pet adoption program. Home 4 the Holidays is among the world’s most successful pet adoption programs and includes nearly 3,000 partner animal organizations from around the world that are dedicated to helping raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption and educating people considering a new pet.
Since it began in 1999, Iams Home 4 the Holidays and its program founder, Helen Woodward Animal Center, has helped place more than 2 million pets into happy homes. Last year alone, Iams Home 4 the Holidays helped nearly 500,000 families experience the joy of pet adoption.
Puppies and Worms is so glad to have been asked to help spread the word for this terrific cause. Pets are really members of the family, and during the holiday season, wouldn’t it be great to welcome home a furry and fluffy family member from your local shelter?
Iams Home 4 the Holidays has a goal to place 1 million dogs and cats from local shelters this holiday season from October 1, 2008 through January 5, 2009. Award winning actress and pet parent, Felicity Huffman has also teamed with Iams Home 4 the Holidays to help this great cause. She is a loving pet parent who wants to bring awareness for this great cause, and help send the message that there are a great number of animals in need.
