Tan nude beige is a hot color for the season so I just wanted to show you a purse I just bought. I love it. Do you like it? It is made of leather that is washed so it has that soft distressed look like you have loved it for years. I like it because of the beautiful color and the pockets. Now I don’t have to worry about rooting around my purse for my cell phone, keys, or parking stubs to pay when I am leaving a parking lot. If you want one, click the photo below and get your own. I love it for Spring. My new spring purse.

What’s Haute – Blog thinks Lauren Merkin’s Quilted Edie Bag is the perfect recession alternative to Chanel!
Thanks to our prize winner – Teresa for sending us such kind words about her CFA Iams Purr-fect package. We gave away a cat prize pack to one lucky winner and it was filled with goodies purr-fect for you and your kitty.
Teresa had this to say:
Thank you very much ! Puppies and worms
My cats really liked all their prizes. They are already on the second bag of the food. I think they want me to switch to Iams. 🙂 There bowls are just beautiful, they match my kitchen. My favorite was the coffee mug and Faux Suede Cat Bed. The Kitty Flicks and Cat Charmer Cat Toys are a lot of fun. I haven’t used the disposable Bamboo Cat Bowl Liners, but they will come in handy when we go on trips. The Giant Litter Scoop really makes my back feel better. All the prizes are wonderful, we can’t thank you guys enough. I am sending you two picture of my cats enjoying two of the the prizes.
Thanks again, Teresa

The Lunar Chinese New Year is on Monday, January 26th. This year is the year of the Ox, and so all of you Ox babies – Happy New Year! Its your special year. For those of you who don’t know what your Chinese Zodiac symbol is, you can look it up by your birth year. There are 12 animals on the Chinese Zodiac so every 12 years, your animal comes up and its your special year.
I found this quick definition on the Ox: The Ox is the second sign of the Chinese zodiac. Like its predecessor and complement, the Rat, it signifies new beginnings. The main difference is the Ox is associated with building to last and slow but sure action.
Wikipedia has a really in depth explanation on Chinese astrology and the 12 animals: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_astrology
To celebrate Chinese New Year, take your kids and families to your local Chinatowns to see what festivities are going on. They aren’t always on the exact day of Chinese New Year, so check your local calendar for details. You’ll be able make a day of it. Take in some dim sum, chinese pastries, and lion dances complete with firecrackers.
If your city doesn’t have a Chinatown, have no fear. You can make some of your own Chinese dishes at home to celebrate. Here is a link: http://www.epicurious.com/articlesguides/holidays/lunarnewyear/lunarnewyear
Michelle Obama chose 26 year old Taiwan born Chinese American Jason Wu for her inaugural ball gown last night. The designer is an up and comer in New York City and has been named a designer to watch. His one shoulder gown was beautiful and the First Lady looked radiant in his design. Congratulations to Jason Wu for his craftsmanship. Congrats to the First Lady for choosing someone who is talented and not yet established. Her choice in her morning outfit from Isabel Toledo and her ball gown by Jason Wu tells you a lot about the first lady. She wants to give new talent a chance and the exposure they gave them was huge.
